I am doing the hard, hard work of not knowing the answer to anything that I would like to know the answer to. Humans tend to be bad at that. It’s the waiting period—or otherwise, the lentil period. Jack and I eat mostly lentils because he receives a dinky stipend and I am still searching for good work in the land of paradise. Lentils are good. You can have them with garlic or onions and you can dry toast your spices before adding a spoonful of ghee. In the end it’s just a big pot of green or red or yellow tokens, like pieces to a board game.
